First attempt at an SU scrapbook page.

I am a scrap booker at heart (although I haven't done any for ages) so I thought it was about time I tried my hand using SU only products.

It's a basic layout but that's the way I wanted it as the main focus needs to be the photo. The photo itself is really old and very badly damaged. The lady in the photo is my great grandma.

The photo must have been taken either for her engagement or her coming of age and she will have been in her late teens.

By the time I was born she was well into her seventies but even then  was amazing she never stopped, she looked after me virtually full time and had a part time job as a cleaner in the evenings.

Having been a widow for a large part of her adult life she dedicated herself to me and the rest of the family she really was something else (hence the sentiment of "you raise kindness to an art".)

I have smudged the sentiment a bit but I think it adds to the distressed look of the page.

The colours I have used are some of my favourites Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Pretty in Pink.

Finished off with some pearls from the pretties kit and brads to match the inks. The amazing stamp set is available to SU demos now on pre order and will be available for customers very soon!!

Hope you like today's post it brought back some lovely happy memories for me which is of course what scrap booking is all about.

See you tomorrow Deborah x
